The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join a team of 27 professionals in a busy secondary care environment. The role involves conducting gynaecology clinics and theatre lists, participating in Caesarean sections, and providing resident support on the Labour Ward. The successful candidate will be expected to develop clinical skills for managing acutely ill patients, contribute to clinical and quality targets, and work effectively within a multi-professional team while following patient care pathways.

The position entails a full-time job plan based on a 10 Programmed Activities (PA) working week, including clinical, educational, and managerial responsibilities. The job plan will be tailored in consultation with the Clinical Director and will encompass Direct Clinical Care activities as well as Supporting Professional Activities for continued professional development, audit, and research. Regular reviews of the job plan will ensure alignment with service demands and personal objectives linked to the trust's strategic goals.
