The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager for its Research and Development Finance team based in Chelsea. This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual with management accounting experience, keen to enhance financial management skills within the dynamic NHS environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality financial information such as monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analyses, while also providing support and advice to manage research portfolio finances.

Key responsibilities include producing monthly budget statements for a diverse range of R&D budgets, developing integrated financial performance reports, and meeting regularly with budget holders to assess financial performance. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer software are essential, along with a passion for best practices in financial management. The candidate may need to attend meetings across various Royal Marsden sites as necessary.
