The Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant in Accident & Emergency Medicine to join their team at Basildon Hospital. This role involves supporting the development of both adult and paediatric emergency services. Candidates should be either established ED Consultants or fellowship-trained specialty registrars looking for their first consultant position, with full GMC registration or eligibility. The consultant will participate in a 15-member on-call rota and will have the opportunity to work at sister hospitals, with a focus on clinical practice, governance, and improving patient care.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the redesign of emergency services, particularly in paediatric care, in line with the NHS's evolving emergency care agenda. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for patient safety and a commitment to enhancing the patient experience while being involved in audit, research, and other clinical interests.
