We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse role at Gatwick IRC to join our team. The detention centre is run for the Home Office by Care and Custody, a division of the Serco with Practice Plus Group providing healthcare services to all residents since September 2021..


Hours

Our Mental health team normally work 9 am to 5 pm with rota'd weekend cover. This position is full time 37.5 hours a week


Salary

This position is full time, Youll receive an annual salary up to £52,5per annum - depending on experience.

 - £3,000  (£1,000 in 6 months of service, £1,000 after 12 months and £1,000 after 24 months of service - conditions apply).

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work as part of an integrated mental health team, responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs within the Immigration Removal Centre (IRC).
  • You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
  • You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
