The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in London is seeking an experienced Outpatient Staff Nurse to join their dynamic Outpatient Department, which prioritizes exceptional patient care. In this role, the nurse will support various clinical specialties, contribute to the department's governance including Risk Management and Health and Safety, and ensure accurate documentation in accordance with NMC and hospital guidelines. The Outpatient Department features 25 consulting rooms and a minor procedure area, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care, conducting patient assessments, and planning, implementing, and evaluating care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Effective communication is crucial, as the nurse will need to convey complex information to patients and their families, particularly in sensitive situations. We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our busy Outpatient Department.The Outpatient Department is often a patients first experience of the hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. We aim to deliver first class standards of care where the patient is at the heat of every decision. We have a good team who strive to deliver our vision and values every day. The department has 25 consulting rooms with equipment specific to the various specialties we support and is in spacious, comfortable surroundings. We offer all staff the opportunity to support various specialty clinics and we have a minor procedure room where we undertake some further procedures under local anaesthetic.
These role would ideally suit an experienced Staff Nurse who can support a range of clinical specialties, contributing to the delivery of an effective, efficient and responsive outpatient service. You will participate in the Governance of the department; including Risk Management, Health and Safety and Audit activities.
