Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 Recovery Nurse to join their theatre recovery team at Arrowe Park Hospital, with potential rotation to other areas such as Eye Theatre Recovery and Women's and Children's recovery after training. The role involves participating in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for patients in the peri-operative period, under the supervision of specialized core team members. A comprehensive training package will be provided, including a six-month mentorship alongside an experienced staff member, with initial duties focusing on weekdays before progressing to weekends and nights based on demonstrated competency.

The Recovery Practitioner will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of theatre episodes, promoting patient safety and well-being, and engaging in clinical governance activities to enhance risk management within the Trust. Candidates are expected to uphold the Trust's core values, support their team's care delivery, and complete necessary training in Immediate Life Support (ILS) and Pediatric Life Support (PLS) as required.
