Are you an experienced and qualified Healthcare Support Worker looking to join our flexible workforce?
This advert is for both North Bristol Trust (NBT) and University Hospital Bristol and Weston (UHBW) who have now launched a collaborative bank for Healthcare Support Workers. Once you have completed your induction and mandatory training you will have the opportunity to 'opt-in' to join the collaborative. You'll benefit from increased flexibility to work shifts at a location that suits you across Bristol and Weston, as well as opportunities to broaden your skills and experience at our partner hospital.
In order to undertake this role you must have:
- Experience working within an acute healthcare setting within the past 6 months
- Work a minimum of 2 shifts, in a rolling 3 month period and remain compliant with all essential training, to remain in post
- Must be willing to work days/lates
- Please note you will be expected to do 5 days of induction within a week period

As a Healthcare Support Worker you will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of the highest standard of quality care to our patients, working alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your role will include a wide range of tasks, from providing personal and intimate care to undertaking clinical observations. A Healthcare Support Worker will be competent to provide compassionate care to agreed quality standards.
You will be required to follow stringent policies such as infection control and manual handling policies and keep your clinical and non-clinical colleagues informed of outcomes. In addition, you will be providing emotional and physical support to patient's and their families. You will require an adaptable and flexible approach to enable you to adapt to situations that may change quickly.
If you meet the essential criteria, your application will be shortlisted, and you will be invited to our monthly assessment centres. If successful, you will be working on a zero hour contract and on occasions you may be required to work between our Bristol and Weston sites.
