Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is seeking a part-time Care Assistant for its Black Country Hospice in Walsall. The role involves providing holistic care to children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, both at the hospice and in home settings. The position is for 25 hours per week, with various shift patterns available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nurses with assessing care needs.
  • Deliver daily care as per individualized care plans.
  • Aid in medication administration.
  • Facilitate age-appropriate outings and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Care certificate or equivalent (NNEB, NVQ Level 2).
  • Experience in child care or physical care in a hospital setting is preferred.
