The role of Specialist Biomedical Scientist - PoCT at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves delivering high-quality Point of Care Testing (PoCT) services across five acute hospitals and community settings. The successful candidate will work independently under the guidance of the PoCT management team, supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring the functionality and maintenance of PoCT devices, and conducting operator training. Ideal applicants should possess strong organisational and communication skills, significant experience in PoCT and quality management, and the ability to perform core scientific and interpretive tasks aligned with their qualifications as Registered Biomedical Scientists.

The position requires collaboration with various team members, including coordinators, trainers, and clinical leads, to maintain a patient-centered and resilient PoCT service. Additional responsibilities include supervising and training staff, as well as stepping in for the Advanced Biomedical Scientist when necessary.
