University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Band 7 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to enhance IPC practices and minimize hospital-acquired infections across its facilities. The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and line management to junior team members while collaborating closely with various healthcare personnel. Key responsibilities include offering expert advisory support, developing and implementing IPC policies, leading clinical audits, conducting educational programs, and advocating for patient safety.

The role requires active participation in clinical areas, with approximately 70% of time dedicated to education and advisory services and 30% focused on project work. The IPC CNS will work under the guidance of Senior IPC Nurses and engage in the development of effective IPC systems alongside clinical teams.
