The Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement for NHS England in London will play a crucial role in shaping and leading the communication and engagement strategy for a transformative healthcare infrastructure program. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a cohesive communication plan, ensuring coordination between program-level and Trust-led activities, and providing quality assurance for interactions with diverse stakeholders such as government bodies, NHS executives, and the public. The position involves leading a high-performing team, managing sensitive media inquiries, and overseeing budgetary implications while ensuring the strategy is effectively resourced and supported by appropriate systems.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for proactively managing risks and issues related to communications, fostering professional development within the team, and producing new collateral to meet the program's objectives. This role is pivotal in delivering the National Health Program (NHP) objectives and enhancing the capacity of healthcare providers for the future.
