The "Antimicrobial Steward, Vaccination & IV Therapy Lead Pharmacist" role at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust in Maghull involves leading antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and overseeing infection management and intravenous therapy as the clinical pharmacist lead. Responsibilities include collaborating with the infection prevention and control team and Regional AMR leads to implement an effective antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) program, supporting primary care antimicrobial prescribing, leading the flu and vaccination program, and participating in emergency planning. The post holder will also manage a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and medicines supply service, providing specialist advice to the multi-disciplinary team, overseeing training related to antimicrobial resistance, and participating in pharmacy dispensing. The position requires flexible working and readiness for on-call service, along with engagement in research and audit on AMS.
