Our Senior Healthcare Support Workers (SHCSWs) form an essential and well-respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or within our theatres teams to name just a few.

The team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Unregistered Nurse to join the Exeter Kidney Unit within the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in a band 3 post at Heavitree Haemodialysis Unit.
Exeter Kidney Unit aim to provide holistic, evidence-based care and information to Kidney patients and their families within the locality.
Heavitree Haemodialysis is a 24 stationed satellite Haemodialysis unit situated in Heavitree hospital. We provide care for patients requiring chronic dialysis as outpatients. We also support a busy Home Haemodialysis Service.
There are a number of Specialist Nursing and other multidisciplinary teams linked to Exeter Kidney Unit that Heavitree haemodialysis unit liaise with.
We are looking for a committed, flexible and enthusiastic individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Comprehensive competency-based training is provided on site / in post by the Renal Clinical Practice Facilitator.
The successful candidate must have the ability to travel as, once fully trained, they may be required to provide specialist cover at one of our other units in South or East Devon

Working Pattern: We care for our patients around the clock so we will need you to work a range of shift patterns. These range from short shifts, day shifts between 8am and 8pm and 12.5-hour day and night shifts with an hour break in the ward areas. Please do check this at your interview.
Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay.
