Old Road Medical Practice is looking to recruit an advanced nurse practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team, to help us to transform & modernise pathways of care, enabling the safe & effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries. The successful candidate may come from a range of professional backgrounds. As an experienced healthcare professional, educated to masters level, they will have developed the skills & knowledge to allow them to take on an expanded role & scope of practice caring for patients.

  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education & support to staff, patients, their families & carers.
  • Practising autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care.
  • Support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient & patient-focused service, & will ensure the safe treatment, referral & discharge of patients with undifferentiated & undiagnosed presentations in their area.
  • Responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice & standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols & guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
