The Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Mental Health Lead Practitioner to enhance the newly developed integrated mental health hub in Northampton, primarily focused on providing timely support for individuals in crisis. This role entails conducting biopsychosocial assessments, safety planning, and collaborating with both statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure effective communication and pathways for care. The practitioner will lead multidisciplinary discussions, oversee risk assessments within the crisis care pathway, and foster relationships with third-sector organisations to improve overall service delivery and patient experiences.

The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility, strong leadership, and the ability to think creatively to meet the diverse needs of service users. Responsibilities include providing training, clinical supervision to junior staff, and offering mental health education to reduce stigma. The position requires commitment to delivering comprehensive support across various services, including crisis cafes and hospital at home options, while also participating in out-of-hours service provision on a shift basis.
