The Sunderland Counselling Service is seeking a qualified or trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join their team in Blyth, within the Taking Therapy Service in Northumberland. This full-time role involves delivering low-intensity interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management strategies, to clients experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The position offers excellent professional development opportunities, including pathways to supervisory roles and trainee high-intensity CBT positions. The ideal candidate will possess a background in low-intensity psychological therapies and demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities while working with a diverse client population.

The successful candidate will engage in regular case management, provide evidence-based interventions via various modalities (phone, video, and face-to-face), and take part in continuous professional development (CPD) activities. They will also contribute to innovative service improvement projects and special interest groups focused on various demographics, such as perinatal and older clients. The role emphasises a supportive work-life balance, offering 30 days of annual leave and opportunities for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
