The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking an Associate Medical Director for Primary Care Interfaces, a leadership role focused on enhancing patient outcomes through innovative care models and bridging gaps within the healthcare system. The ideal candidate should have a substantial background in primary care, general practice, or secondary care interfaces and be committed to fostering partnerships across healthcare. Responsibilities include leading the strategic development of integrated care pathways, strengthening transfer of care processes between UHL and general practice, and managing relationships with GPs and Primary Care Networks to facilitate ongoing improvements.

The role also entails overseeing corporate service support for general practices, preparing UHL for GP contract bids, and reshaping services traditionally provided in secondary care to favor preventative care and long-term condition management in primary care settings. Collaborating with key leaders within UHL, this position will contribute to the Trust's strategic goals aimed at delivering high-quality, integrated healthcare by 2030.
