Clinical Pharmacist - Cancer Services with On-Call An exciting opportunity has arisen for Clinical Pharmacist - Cancer Services with On-Call shifts (Band 7 equivalent) to join our Pharmacy Team. This opportunity is based at our Duchess of Devonshire Wing, 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6JA, where the successful candidate will get to join an expanding team with a Band 7 equivalent salary range on offer based on skills and experience. The Pharmacy department at The London Clinic comprises of number of areas which work together to provide effective patient services and best possible outcomes for our patients.We have extensive oncology services, including a purpose-built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite. As well as an automated medication dispensing system which supports decentralised medicine management in numerous wards. Job Description As a key member of the Pharmacy Team you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and patient centered clinical pharmacy service to patients at the Duchess of Devonshire Wing (adult cancer services). Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, plus on-call shifts. Location: The London Clinic 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW. Provide a comprehensive and effective patient centered Clinical Pharmacy service to designated Oncology/Haematology wardsLead on and develop elements of the clinical pharmacy service to improve the patient experience.Provide release of chemotherapy products according to GMPFacilitate and promote rational and optimal medicines usageProvide assimilated and relevant medicines information to healthcare professionals and patientsTo participate in the out of hours pharmacy service as per agreed roster Skills & Experience
You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (UK) as a Pharmacist with a post graduate clinical pharmacy qualification Post-registration experience in a UK hospital pharmacy Clinical Oncology experience and aseptic servicesYou will need to be patient-focused, proactive and dynamic to operate effectively as the first point of contact for Pharmacy services.The role demands an organised, flexible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.You must be able to work independently and have good judgement to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
