The role of Sepsis Practitioner at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Nuneaton involves providing clinical leadership, education, and training to enhance patient outcomes related to sepsis. The position requires a practitioner with critical care, theatre, or outpatient department experience to work 37.5 hours per week in a dual capacity: primarily focused on sepsis management and support within the clinical directorate. Key responsibilities include offering specialist advice on the recognition, assessment, and treatment of sepsis, promoting best practices across the trust, and actively participating in staff education and audits to improve sepsis care.

As a member of the Critical Care Outreach Team, the practitioner will collaborate with healthcare professionals, contribute to the development of protocols, and engage in research and development initiatives to enhance service delivery.
