The Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join the East and North Herts Child and Adolescent Mental Health Community Services in Hoddesdon and a satellite clinic in Bishop Stortford. This fixed-term position involves job sharing with a part-time consultant and includes working within a multidisciplinary team consisting of various mental health professionals. The team manages a busy outpatient service with a high volume of referrals and an estimated caseload of 50-70 cases.

Key responsibilities of the role include assessing and diagnosing young patients, advising on treatment plans, conducting referrals and case reviews, and providing supervision to junior medical staff. The consultant will also participate in administrative and audit activities to maintain service quality, engage in service planning, and uphold professional registration and compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaboration within the team and other agencies in health and social care is essential for the successful delivery of services.
