The role of Staff Nurse - Paediatrics at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust involves providing holistic family-centered care to children and young people up to 16 years old within a purpose-built unit catering to both inpatient and day patient services. The nurse will work in various areas, including the ward, day surgery, and a 24-hour observation and assessment unit, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to continually enhance paediatric services to meet community needs.

Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as assisting in the organisation and management of clinical work within the unit. The position requires adherence to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and compliance with Trust policies. Staff Nurse - Paediatrics - Band 5 - Permanent - Various Hours

We are a purpose-built unit that provides both inpatient and day patient care, for children and young people up to 16 years old and support them through transition to adults. We care for a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. Our aim is for you to join us in providing the highest possible standards of holistic family centred care. The unit prides itself on working collaboratively with the MDT.

We have an ambulatory model of care within paediatrics, and we are constantly developing and improving our paediatric services to meet the needs of the area. We have a 24-hour observation and assessment unit, and you will work in both the ward, day surgery and observation and assessment areas
