The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician to join their team at Queens Hospital in Burton-Upon-Trent. This position involves providing high-quality paediatric care while collaborating with senior colleagues to enhance the future of paediatric services. The role consists of an 8 Programmed Activities (PA) contract, with potential for additional PAs, and includes a 1:7.5 on-call commitment for general paediatrics and the neonatal unit, which involves handling out-of-hours emergencies.

Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register or nearing their CCT date, and should have the ability to provide expert clinical care across a range of paediatric disorders. A commitment to teaching and supervising medical trainees is essential, as is experience in teaching clinical skills. The successful applicant will share responsibility for operational performance, clinical quality, and resource management within the department, contributing to both patient care and educational initiatives.
