Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse (0311) to join their new 13-bed Intensive Care Unit. Candidates should have at least six months of acute nursing experience and a commitment to providing high-quality, holistic care within a multidisciplinary environment. The role involves working with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, including doctors and physiotherapists, to deliver care to critically ill adults. The position requires shift work and offers a robust induction program, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a supportive workplace culture focused on continuous learning.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced staff nurse with at least 6 months experience, to join our amazing team in a brand new 13 bed Intensive care unit, at Barnsley Hospital.

This position will enable the successful applicant to develop their knowledge and skills in caring for critically ill adults within a highly supportive environment.

You will have a comprehensive induction programme depending on your previous experience supported by the units clinical educator and you will work with an experienced team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other allied professionals.

This post will include shift work, consisting of days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Working within a highly skilled, dynamic multi-disciplinary team, in our busy and energetic 13 bedded Adult Critical Care Unit, which accommodates both level 3 and level 2 patients. This is an excellent opportunity for, energetic, enthusiastic staff nurses with at least 6 months acute experience, to provide a high standard of care to patients within a challenging, yet supportive acute hospital setting.
