Alongside clinical duties there is an expectation of contributing to other elements of the practice including:

- Safeguarding training/meetings

- Home visits

- Research projects

- Supporting other staff

- Effective communication between the MDT inside and outside of the practice

- Documenting within various IT systems

Wensum Valley Medical Practice are looking to recruit a Registered Nursing Associate to work across our busy 3 practices, delivering care to and supporting our 12,500 patients. The successful candidate will join our friendly nursing team of 4 nurses, 2 nurse practitioners, 1 HCA and a phlebotomist. The practice is committed to offering flexible, modern employment practices, which recognise that all staff need to strike a sensible balance between home and work life so full and part time hours will be considered. We welcome applicants who have experience of working in a GP practice/other healthcare setting as well as those who are newly qualified. As we are based across 3 sites there is an expectation that you will be required to work at any site so the ability to drive is desirable but not essential.

Training will be provided where needed in order to perform these main duties:

- Blood pressure and other clinical observations including urinalysis

- ECGs

- Venepuncture and INRs

- Room stocking and cleaning in line with IPC policies

- General holistic lifestyle advice and promotion of self care

- Vaccinations

- NHS Health Checks

- Cervical Screening

- Wound care including suture removal

- Diabetic foot checks

- Spirometry
