The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Band 7 Clinical Lead - Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to enhance SLT services within the urgent care setting. This role involves collaborating with the Speech & Language Therapy lead and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to optimize patient flow, manage the acute inpatient team, and drive service development. The successful candidate will focus on early assessment and intervention for communication and swallowing needs, provide training to MDT members to ensure timely referrals, and support continuity of care for patients across various acute wards.

Additionally, the position entails managing staff and supervising trainee speech and language therapists, ensuring adherence to educational standards in collaboration with universities. The department boasts established teams and expertise in areas such as Acute care, Stroke, Critical Care, and Head and Neck Cancer, providing ample opportunities for professional development in specialized practices like Video fluoroscopy and FEES.
