The role of Elective Admissions Booking Clerk at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involves providing a patient-focused surgical admissions service for elective patients. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure efficient booking in alignment with the Trust's Elective Access, Booking, and Choice of Date policy. Responsibilities include communicating with patients and their relatives to confirm surgery dates, meeting regularly with Specialty Consultants to book cases accurately, and monitoring waitlist information to optimize theatre capacity. Knowledge of national Referral To Treatment rules, Cancer waiting times, and local funding variations is essential for managing bookings effectively.

This full-time position, consisting of 37.5 hours per week, requires the ability to analyze performance indicators, manage cancellations, and ensure compliance with Trust policies. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering high-quality service to patients in accordance with the Trust's values.
