The Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) ONW role at Central London Community Health Trust in Stanmore entails leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists in providing domiciliary and outpatient care to patients in the Borough of Harrow, primarily those with complex needs, including many who speak English as an additional language. The post holder will work autonomously to manage their own complex caseload, providing expert speech and language therapy services, with additional responsibilities including offering second opinions, supervising clinical staff, facilitating staff development, and participating in team recruitment and evaluations.

Key responsibilities also involve conducting detailed assessments to inform clinical decision-making, implementing evidence-based treatment programs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. The SALT will engage in clinical supervision, guiding junior colleagues while also taking the lead on triaging new referrals. The role is essential in ensuring high-quality care while promoting professional development within the team, all conducted during standard weekday hours.
