The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role with Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Malton or Scarborough involves joining innovative Mental Health Support Teams aimed at enhancing mental health services for children and young people in educational settings. Successful candidates will support schools and colleges in the Scarborough and Ryedale area by implementing wellbeing policies, providing consultation and training for education staff, and delivering direct interventions primarily through cognitive-behavioral therapy. Applicants are required to have completed a one-year Post Graduate Certificate in the field and be registered with either the BABCP or BPS, along with the ability to travel independently for work purposes.

This position is part of a broader initiative to offer early mental health interventions, focusing on prevention and support within the community. The role encompasses collaboration with educational institutions to foster a holistic approach to student wellbeing, ensuring that practitioners are equipped to meet the diverse mental health needs of young people effectively.
