The role of a Chef at Barchester Healthcare is to work with fresh seasonal food and create nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced menus while ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for residents. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team, deliver hotel/restaurant standards, and grow their career within the organisation.

As a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the residents' preferences and needs. You will be responsible for working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, and helping to create a warm, efficient, and fun environment. You will also be required to work within budget, complete regular audits, manage stock control, and assist in leading and motivating a team.

A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent Experience in helping lead and inspire a team A good understanding of nutrition Experience of working with fresh seasonal food The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home Good understanding of HACCP
