The Director of Elective Care (Recovery) role at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a fixed-term position lasting nine months, focusing on the NOTSSCaN Division to aid in the delivery of the elective recovery plan. Key responsibilities include providing operational support to the divisional leadership team, reviewing recovery plans, ensuring timely communication, and addressing risks associated with current plans. The director will actively work towards eliminating 65-week waits and ensuring that activity levels return to required standards by facilitating in-depth analyses, collaborating with integrated service providers, and overcoming challenges that may hinder progress.

This position aims to bolster the leadership team's capacity and effectiveness in driving recovery initiatives. The director will adopt a coaching methodology to foster leadership and support, while leveraging available resources such as business intelligence and project management from the existing team. Throughout their tenure, the director will play a critical role in monitoring performance, adjusting plans as necessary, and escalating concerns to mitigate potential setbacks in the recovery agenda.
