The role of Band 7 Sonographer at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Haywards Heath, part of the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, involves supporting the expanding Urology department by delivering professional ultrasound services. The successful candidate will independently perform and report on a variety of ultrasound examinations, including extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for treating renal and ureteric stones, with training provided as necessary.

The position requires excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical outcomes. Additionally, candidates are expected to be dedicated to their own professional development by participating in continued professional development (CPD), mentoring student sonographers, and assisting with departmental research and audits.
