Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery post at Addenbrooke's hospital to start as soon as possible for 12 months.
This post covers general Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery activity, including management of trauma patients and on-call duties.
The appointee will complement the existing Maxillofacial consultant team of 5 Oral and maxillofacial surgeons and a cleft surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital. They will be expected to participate in the on call rota which at weekends is shared with the Peterborough Maxillofacial Surgery department on a 1:8 basis. Additional team members include 4 speciality registrars (including one out of program research registrar who continues to participate in the on call activity), 6 DCT's, 6 clinical fellows (who provide out of hours cover), 3 speciality surgeons and 1 FY2.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
