Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year pro-rata for part-time  PERMANENT 

To work as a highly specialist physiotherapist using advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide Trust-wide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to a varied caseload of clients including those who present with musculoskeletal and complex neurological conditions. Practise will incorporate collaborative working with and guiding junior physiotherapy staff.

We have an opportunity for a part-time (21.4 hours per week) Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist in our Children's Physiotherapy Team, and we would like you to join us, if you have the skills! You will join our well-established Children's Physiotherapy service which supports children aged 0-19 years and will work in providing support to the Children's Physiotherapy department and community settings across Sunderland and South Tyneside. You will be a key part of our service and will have opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills. You will be predominantly based at our South Tyneside site located within Palmer Community Hospital Jarrow, providing care across both Sunderland and South Tyneside areas. As a team we work together to provide the best service we can whilst striving to develop staff who are our key asset to improve patient outcomes. You will have excellent support and be part of a wider Children's Integrated Therapy Service team, too. You will be keen to support services as we change and develop. You will align to our vision and values to improve patient outcomes and develop our workforce.

You will be based within Palmer Community Hospital, Jarrow, as part of our Children's Physiotherapy team that covers South Tyneside and Sunderland. You will be integral in developing the service to and providing support into the Physiotherapy department and across all community settings. You will be responsible for a wide and varied caseload. You will have knowledge and experience within Paediatrics including all musculoskeletal conditions/presentations to babies and children with complex presentations. You will have knowledge of Paediatric assessment tools and the Bobath approach. You will have some experience of the Education Health and Care Plans (Children and Families Act 2, have been involved with report writing and associated meetings. You will have experience and a working knowledge of safeguarding. You will have knowledge and understanding of CPIPs and have the ability to work both within a Physiotherapy team, MDT and the wider Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large team across our patch with other specialist clinicians. You will participate in, and be integral to, the clinical supervision, training and education of all staff, including students. You will be required to meet the travel requirements of this Post.
