The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective nursing care and maintaining evidence-based practices, while continuously updating their knowledge in alignment with Trust policies and the NMC code of conduct. We are looking for an experienced Band 5 children's nurse with at least 12 months post registration experience to join our team on our 24 bedded Medical and Respiratory children's ward, 7E. Our hospital manages a large case load of children, many having complex conditions and needs. Our specialty services include, but are not limited to, complex respiratory conditions (including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomy care, cystic fibrosis, empyema), diabetes, haematology, endocrine, neurology and general paediatrics.
The post holder will ensure family centered care is maintained, fostering positive relationships with children and their families. You will also work closely with full MDT's including consultants, physiotherapists, dieticians, general managers, pharmacists and specialist nurses including community teams. We offer excellent in-house development opportunities for Band 5 nurses and have a number of link role nurse opportunities available.
