The Community Nurse role at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Brynmawr involves being an integral part of the 24/7 Community Nursing Team, where responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Blaenau Gwent area. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes and may involve deputizing for the District Nursing Team Leader in their absence. Candidates should possess a diverse range of clinical skills, such as managing diabetic care, palliative care, complex wound management, and others, while adhering to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Community Nurse will serve as a mentor to junior staff and students, contribute to service delivery improvements, and participate in team leadership and development. Key qualities for the role include effective communication, flexibility, independence, and the ability to manage relationships across various organisational boundaries. While proficiency in Welsh is desirable, it is not mandatory. The position also emphasises the importance of planning and organizing care provision while adhering to health and safety regulations and contributing to ongoing training and professional development.
