The Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a dynamic and motivated Lead Nurse for Health Protection and Immunisation within its Public Health Directorate. This role involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing care across various settings, including homes, clinics, and hospitals, to deliver a high standard of service in health protection and immunisation. The post holder will manage the daily operations of testing and immunisation services, provide managerial leadership, and ensure compliance with national guidelines. Additionally, the role includes fostering effective relationships with stakeholders, facilitating patient care, and maintaining high levels of professionalism and communication.

The successful candidate will lead the nursing team, responding to complex clinical and managerial situations as they arise, while incorporating the principles of quality care into daily practices. They will also offer expert advice and support in line with NMC standards, engage in urgent situation responses, and promote improvement in staff and patient experiences. Fluency in Welsh is desirable, and the Health Board is committed to supporting staff in meeting bilingualism requirements.
