The Senior Test Analyst will manage testing cycles for complex digital projects, offer specialist advice on software testing across various digital and data environments, and ensure compliance with established testing standards. The position, which involves engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels to address testing requirements and issues, is fixed-term until September 30, 2026. Proficiency in Welsh is desirable, but applicants who speak either Welsh or English are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities also include leading testing meetings, producing documentation, and communicating testing outcomes effectively.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Digital Transformation Senior Test Analyst to join the newly established Digital Transformation Team.
Under the guidance of a Digital Transformation Programme Manager and working closely with Subject Matter Experts and Clinical Systems Manager , the successful candidate will be expected work collaboratively with operational and clinical colleagues and the wider digital team to improve the outcomes of our patients, citizens and families that we serve, as outlined in the Health Board's strategy CTM 2.
Candidates will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of testing methodologies and undertake a key role in planning the testing cycles within a complex digital transformation project. Skills include; excellent communication and organisational skills.
As a proactive and positive member of the team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the implementation of key transformation project objectives which will enable and support the vital work of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
As a Digital Transformation Senior Test Analyst, the post holder will develop and maintain the project test strategy on projects for which Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTMUHB) is responsible for in accordance with specifications and operational requirements of CTMUHB.
To provide specialist advice, support and plans on software testing in various areas of Digital & Data to ensure that the application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians.
All testing work is undertaken in accordance with the testing standards as well as policies, processes and procedures as described by the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Test Framework.

This post is Fixed Term/Secondment until 30th September 2026 due to funding.

About us
Develop and maintain effective written and verbal communication with individuals and larger groups of customers and stakeholders of all levels, explaining difficult and highly complex IT processes and issues as the senior testing contact.
Arrange, lead and participate in meetings with various levels of internal and external customers and stakeholders to: discuss and agree testing requirements, progress defects, problems and issues, answer queries.
Liaise as necessary with NHS staff at all levels on testing related matters, dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities. Refocus discussions where necessary, to resolve conflict and establish acceptable conclusions.
Provide oral and written advice to customers in the use of testing of systems and services developed by the Digital Directorate.
Conduct formal seminars on the benefits of testing systems and products.
Produce testing documentation that provides all necessary information to allow continuing testing and improvements in testing of systems and services.
Be able to communicate outcomes of testing through the provision of test reports.
