The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a full-time Consultant in Adult Psychiatry for the Eastern Vale, responsible for overseeing the Vale Locality Mental Health Team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified psychiatrist, either on the Specialist Register or a Specialist Registrar nearing their Certification, and must be capable of flexible working arrangements. The position offers a competitive salary starting at £130,380, with opportunities for research and teaching in partnership with Cardiff University's School of Medicine.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, the successful applicant will serve as a Responsible Clinician for clients under the Mental Health Act, managing both community-based and inpatient care while collaborating with colleagues in the Crisis Service. Candidates should provide a comprehensive employment history and references, particularly from recent positions as a Consultant. The Health Board values academic contributions and supports further professional development.
