The Associate Safeguarding Specialist Nurse at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is responsible for supporting the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults as part of the Safeguarding Team. This role involves contributing to Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH) by collating and sharing health information, responding to requests, and reviewing outcomes to ensure comprehensive service provision for vulnerable populations. The nurse will also provide training, advice, and support to staff, participate in safeguarding assessments, and collaborate with multi-agency professionals to maintain high standards of care while promoting family-centered approaches.

Additionally, the nurse will manage various responsibilities including effective communication with families and professionals, maintaining patient confidentiality, overseeing support staff, and ensuring adherence to Trust policies. The associate will engage in risk assessment, disseminate relevant safeguarding information, and contribute to policy development, while also participating in continuous professional development and training initiatives to enhance service delivery and staff knowledge within the safeguarding framework.
