Nursing Associate - Community with Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Stockton on Tees
The applicants must have already completed the Nursing Associate foundation degree and be a Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register. This post is not offering the training to gain this qualification. ALD North Tees Community Team provides services across both Stockton and Hartlepool with a base in each locality and is made up, Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology and AHP's (including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy) staff. The team work collectively and collaboratively with others to ensure a high standard of care is provided and are always willing to go above and beyond what is expected when required. The team work in partnership with key partners to ensure people with a diagnosed learning disability and their families and carer and supported by delivering high quality clinical care. The service runs 24 hours a day seven days a week with the expectation to cover 8-8 Monday through to Sunday and be part of an On-Call service 5pm -9am. Previous applicants need not apply. An exciting new opportunity has a risen to join an experienced multi-disciplinary team within the Teesside locality working and supporting people with Learning Disabilities to live healthy happy lives. Applicants must have NMC Nursing Associate registration and, preferably have experience of working with people with a diagnosed learning disability. This Nursing Associate vacancy is a new role within the team, and the successful candidate will, in conjunction with multi-professional practitioners such as Registered Learning Disability Nurses, and Psychiatrist's, as well as those within the wider MDT, work collaboratively with service users, their families, carers and partner agencies providing a person-centred approach. The successful candidate will also work in liaison with primary care services. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be calm, confident and resilient in their approach, and will need to be able to form therapeutic relationships. The successful candidate must also have a flexible approach to their work as they will be expected to take part in the on-call rota and should be able to travel independently to various locations within the Trust on a regular basis in the course of their duties.
