An exciting opportunity has arisen for a research nurse to work at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
LUHFT has a proven track record in successfully recruiting into NIHR portfolio and commercial studies. They conduct a variety of projects, including observational and cohort studies, device and drug trials as well as mixed methods and qualitative research.
The Research Nurse must be a strong advocate for research and patients, able to both recruit and provide effective support to research participants.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to work independently and flexibly. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic and ready to work to recruit patients in line with targets, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
The research nurse will be responsible for the day to day running of research studies including screening of potential patients, recruiting patients into studies according to agreed protocols, assisting in the informed consent process and management of all the study related data.
All clinical research activity must be compliant and conducted in accordance with European Union (EU) Directive, ICH/GCP International Conference on Harmonisation and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
