The role of a Midwife at Prescot with Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust involves joining a dedicated maternity team to provide outstanding, evidence-based, and woman-centered care across various maternity services, including Triage, Community, and the Midwifery Led Unit. The position requires the midwife to demonstrate resilience and accountability while undertaking comprehensive assessments, planning, and implementing care for expectant mothers and their families. Midwives will also engage in safeguarding practices, maintain professional development, and ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures, contributing to enhanced patient experiences and quality of care.

Responsibilities include clinical duties such as administering medications, monitoring high-risk assessments, and addressing obstetric emergencies. Additionally, midwives will have administrative tasks, participate in teaching and training, and take on supervisory roles, including acting as shift leaders.
