The Advanced Physiotherapist role at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is part of a multidisciplinary team within the Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic department, working closely alongside consultant surgeons, nurses, and podiatry specialists. The position focuses on gait assessment utilizing computerized technology and functional evaluations, as well as offering exercise prescriptions and patient management. The role includes outpatient physiotherapy for a complex patient group, provides advisory services to healthcare professionals, and contributes to the education and training of medical staff. The position is supported by a comprehensive training package and offers opportunities for involvement in research and service improvement.

This fixed-term role, requiring 22 hours and 30 minutes of work per week, emphasises flexibility in working arrangements to accommodate both staff and service needs. Candidates will have the chance to develop their skills further within the context of a highly specialized healthcare environment, with potential future opportunities to expand their role into pre and post-operative clinic support.
