The East Sussex Diabetic Eye Screening Programme is seeking a motivated and experienced individual for the role of Failsafe Officer/Trainee Diabetic Eye Screener in Bexhill on Sea. The primary focus of the position will be to manage and implement an effective failsafe system ensuring all individuals with diabetes receive timely eye screenings. This role involves engaging with hard-to-reach patient cohorts to promote participation in the screening process. The successful candidate will require strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and meet deadlines, as they will be instrumental in guiding patients through the National Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.

In addition to the failsafe responsibilities, the post holder will also receive training to become a diabetic eye screener and will need to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Health Screening.
