The role of Staff Nurse - Endoscopy (Band 5) at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust involves joining a small, supportive team within a JAG accredited endoscopy department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, specialized care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, bronchoscopy, ERCP, and cystoscopy support. Key responsibilities include assessing and planning patient care, supporting patients during procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience, and participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota once fully competent.

The position also emphasises professional development, with opportunities for further education, mentorship, and involvement in research and teaching within the unit. Nurses are expected to stay updated on clinical practices, maintain high standards of patient care, adhere to NMC guidelines, and support the induction of new staff.
