Thrive Programme Manager - 18 month fixed term contract

Great Ormond Street Hospital went live with Epic EPR in April 2and we are now embarking on a significant programme of work to really drive benefits from our investment. The programme recognises that our end users need to be both confident and efficient navigating the system to deliver benefits such as:

o Releasing clinical time in the system for more direct patient care.

o Increasing wellbeing of all our users by reducing time spent on administrative tasks.

o Improving patient safety by reducing potential for errors and incidents related to the EPR.

o Improving our data quality and reporting by reducing the amount of validation and rework.

o Improving administrative workflows, staff satisfaction and happiness within roles, ultimately supporting the reduction in turnover.

This programme represents a significant investment of £2.2m for both the GOSH Charity and GOSH FT and the postholder will be pivotal to our success, overseeing the three projects which together will deliver an 18 month programme focussed on:

o Induction training and onboarding transformation

o Specialty focussed personalisation and optimisation 'sprints'

o Administrative team Thrive

We are looking for an experience project or programme manager with an understanding of improvement methodology within a healthcare setting and experience or qualifications in the Agile methodology.

The Programme Manager will:o Hold overall responsibility for monitoring the scope and progress for all projects and workstreams on behalf of the Trust to ensure the programme lifecycle is delivered on time and to budget;o Monitor progress against detailed plans to ensure the safe and timely delivery of all phases for the Induction, Specialty Optimisation, Administrative teams and Resource Library strands of the Programme;o Report to the Head of Design and Delivery, Joint Head of Clinical Systems and SRO via Programme Board on progress of multiple workstreams through the compilation of high-level management reports using and analysing data from a variety of sources to generate proposals and/or inform decisions;o Identify, generate reports on and manage programme risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate all identified risks and issues;o Report on key milestones and related benefits to Programme Board, Operational Board and Charity Committees.o Support and ensue that the Programme's communications strategy is disseminated in the most appropriate way to harness positive engagement with all of the stakeholders.
