Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is hiring a Local Counter Fraud Specialist to join its Local Counter Fraud Team in Cwmbran. The role involves conducting fraud investigations, managing fraud risks, and promoting an anti-fraud culture as per Welsh Government Directions and standards. Responsibilities include proactive and reactive fraud work, implementing deterrence and prevention strategies, and applying sanctions when fraud is identified. Candidates should ideally have a background in investigation or risk management and possess strong analytical, communication, and IT skills. A national fraud foundation course is required for accreditation as a Counter Fraud Specialist. Extensive travel within the ABUHB area is necessary. A standard DBS clearance is mandated, and while Welsh language skills are desirable, candidates fluent in either Welsh or English are encouraged to apply.
