The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated and flexible individuals for the role of Band 6 Pathology IT, Application and Technical Support Officer. This position is pivotal in supporting the Trust's Pathology Laboratories across various sites, including Queen Elizabeth and Heartlands Hospitals. Candidates will need to have prior experience in a Pathology setting and extensive knowledge of Pathology IT systems, as they will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and developing these systems.

The role involves collaboration with Pathology IT Management, system suppliers, and laboratory teams, providing application and hardware support across various pathology departments. Additionally, the selected candidates will assist in the rollout of electronic ordering and play a significant role in the development and implementation of a new laboratory Information Management system, set to go live in 2025/26. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with travel required across different hospital sites as needed.
