The Mental Health Acute Response Practitioner role at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust offers an opportunity for four Band 6 professionals to join the Mental Health Acute Response Service. The position requires experienced individuals with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in crisis intervention and mental health. Practitioners will play a vital role in developing the crisis pathway, providing telephone triaging and face-to-face assessments for clients in crisis, and ensuring seamless coordination among inpatient services, crisis teams, and community resources. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to make clinical decisions are essential, as the role involves working autonomously and managing risks.

The service operates 24/7 and includes collaboration with various teams such as Street Triage and the Liaison & Diversion service. The practitioners will support clients and their families by developing crisis intervention plans, guiding them through difficult situations, and assisting police officers when handling mental health crises in public areas. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they don't meet all specified criteria, as development opportunities can be discussed during the interview process.
