The South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Deputy Procurement Manager to join its Foundation Group Procurement Shared Service, which supports George Eliot NHS Trust, South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, and Wye Valley Trust. This full-time role involves assisting in the efficient operation of procurement activities, including handling purchase requisitions, obtaining competitive quotations, and creating purchase orders. The successful candidate will gather and analyze data to ensure that goods and services are procured cost-effectively and will manage procurement activities, commercial contracts, and supplier relationships in line with Trust policies and financial targets.

Key responsibilities encompass leading purchasing activities, conducting tender exercises, developing supplier strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as EU Public Contracts Regulations. The Deputy Procurement Manager will also manage junior staff, contribute to achieving annual savings targets, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and participate in collaborative procurement initiatives. Additionally, the role requires effective resource management, monitoring supplier performance, and developing policies to enhance procurement processes while fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication within the team.
